Babylove & the van Dangos was formed in 2004 and has since then been one of the most important ska bands with their catchy, outgoing, energetic music and extraordinary lyrics. The band has since day one been touring the world with more than 700 shows around the world, released three 7” singles and six full length studio albums on international labels and appears on a wide range of compilation.
Their new album “leave me here to my quixotic moods” contains eleven new original songs in the bands’ own mix of ska, reggae, soul and rocksteady. The key word to this album is hope. The songs are highly personal as usual and many of the songs are like dark rooms with only one small candle burning in them. But fire has tendency to spread. So has love and compassion. Also, many songs are pondering the part love plays in all our lives, and that of our children.

Babylove & the van Dangos has been dubbed “one of the best ska bands in the world” by the German Riddim Magazine. According to Ox Fanzine they are among the top 10 ska bands on the planet. The band is thus a firm establishment among the elite of ska and rocksteady acts. The six band members have been honing their skills and building their reputation with more than 700 concerts in Europe and Asia including performances at Roskilde Festival, Spot, Smukfest, This Is Ska, Berlin Ska and Dynamite Ska.
